A belated art piece for a very special occasion! Pokémon turns 20 this year, and in the vein of the 10th anniversary anime special, "The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon", I've come up with several ideas for a 20th anniversary special, some of them involving Giovanni, Ash's old traveling buddies, the super-creepy glitch Missingno., and the return of the (SPOILERS!!!) Mirage Master himself, Dr. Yung, who's now a cyborg thanks to the injuries he's sustained in his burning Mirage System, out to seek revenge for his defeat in the last special.
I still don't have a clear idea of what story I should do based on what's depicted, but I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of a Turtles Forever/Sonic Generations plot. Either that or a tournament that causes a rift between Ash's friends and family because the losers have their Pokémon absorbed by Missingno. and/or turned into Mirage Pokémon, and it becomes survival of the fittest. Or maybe how when Ash and friends destroyed Dr. Yung's Mirage System in the last special, not every bit of it's data went with it, and the bit that survived becomes Missingno., a DBZ-Cell-like entity that absorbs Pokémon to become stronger. Like I said, there's no clear path for me, so if anybody can help me decide on a plot based on this poster, I'd be most grateful.
When I saw "The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon" in 2006, when Dr. Yung walked back into his burning castle at the end, I assumed he died, because I seemed to picture his charred hat amongst the debris, along with a skull. Yeah. Pret-ty dark. But the special never clarifies this, and part of me is thinking he might return for revenge. On an unrelated note, I had a dream one night that Ash and friends faced another Mirage Master, and it was...Isaac from Children of the Corn. ...Actually, that's be pretty damn awesome.
And as for Missingno., I summon it every once in a while in my Red and Blue games, but as soon as it appears, I turn the game off. Look, I know it's tempting to exploit this glitch for Master Balls and Rare Candies, but I'm telling you right now: DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT CAPTURE IT. It already creeped me out to no end as a kid, and still does today. I don't care what anyone tells me about how it's "harmless". In a way, my special could depict Missingno. offering Ash what he needs to finally become a Pokémon Master. Whereas The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon addressed people who use hacked Pokémon, this special addresses glitch Pokémon, so Ash might be making a deal with the devil. Which is true! From my experience, Missingno. IS the devil in the Pokémon world! So if you value your Pokémon, your save file, and your honesty as a Trainer, you will steer clear of this Glitch Pokémon at ALL costs.
And don't even TALK to me about how folks are gonna try to transfer it to the upcoming Pokémon Sun & Moon games.

I expected something like that but NOTHING, because the jerk of Tetsuo Yayima cuts every connection to previous sagas in the XY one, i have a similar idea to reunite the previous Ash's travelling companions also including again to Dr, Yung to take revenge against Ash and his friend for ruin the Mirage System, mine's is a modified version of the 19th film, and some elements to its manga version, Ash, Misty, Brock, May, Dawn, Iris, Cilan, Clemont a Serena fight Mega evolved Pokémon only with their first or most representative Pokémon, well also a little bit to Power Rangers Wild Force's Forever Red episode, also Yung, like Dr. Gero spied Ash and all his companions with microscospic robots and send them invitations for everyone to assit to his trap, also had another fic because the last was the 75th anniversaty of Captain America and the 20th for the Pokémon franchise, based off in the Captain America Civil War film, with some Ash's friends are with him and the others are against him, also incluiding 3 OC's in replace of Tracey, Max and Bonnie
